PROGNOS project site, Lough Feeagh on Irish TV

One of the PROGNOS project sites, Lough Feeagh in the Burrishoole catchment in Ireland, featured in a recent Irish TV programme Eco eye on the issues relating to dissolved organic carbon exported from peatlands, and possible disinfection by-products in drinking water.  PROGNOS partners Eleanor Jennings (DkIT and Elvira de Eyto (Marine Institute) were also interviewed. The programme gives a great overview of the issues around the importance of peatland systems, including decreasing DOC export by drain-blocking to improve drinking water quality. This link will be live until 15th February 2018 (with some intro ads!). Please note that it might not be possible to view this video from outside Ireland.
